Hobby Lobby sells different types of arts and crafts supplies on its website and physical locations, including Cricut products. Before ejecting your mat, check to see if the cut has gone through the faux leather. If it hasn’t, send the cut through for another pass by pressing the Go button again (that’s what I call it, the one with the Cricut logo on it). Some material are more of a plastic, while some are a fabric.
I also used a pair of scallop scissors on three of the spirals to get two different looks. When you’re holding your scissors, you will be able to see how the scallop blade will cut. Holding them one way will give you a positive scallop edge and then flipping them over will give you a negative edge. The smoother-edged roses were cut with regular scissors.
I love pretty ribbon and I am drawn to the gingham and the sheer types. The Cricut standard fine-cut blade is almost always going to be the best option when cutting Hobby Lobby faux thigh knife leather. Faux leather isn’t typically thick enough/tough enough to need a deep cut blade. One exception to this would be if you create double-sided faux lather before cutting it.
Please go to the Instagram Feed settings page to create a feed. Go into it knowing that you may have some learnings . This material is so inexpensive that it never bothered me too much. Remove the blade from the machine and look at the blade.
Using pastel 8 1/2 x 11 card stock from Wal-mart, I was able to cut two A2 cards out of the blue paper and two A2 cards out of the pink paper . I will save the extra cards for other projects. I hope all of the mothers out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday!
I’m not sure what they have done to make it fit. If Hobby Lobby still hasn’t started offering the classes again, you can opt for the online courses from the company’s website or official YouTube channel. If you’re learning online, however, then the company will have a list of all the items you’re going to require right on the same page.
I also shrunk a WIMG square to measure 2 & 3/4 x 4 & 1/4 inches for the cream mat under the tree. This embossing folder is such a cute image, and just by changing the paper or ribbon, it gives it a different feel. Also, by changing the direction of the card base cut using the paper trimmer, you can have the A2 size card open from top to bottom or from side to side.
I created my very first mother’s day greeting cards for my mother and mother-in-law this past week and had so much fun making them with my Cricut Expression. I used the Wild Card, Walk in My Garden, and Storybook cartridges to create the rose and hydrangea cards shown above. The card base was cut from white cardstock and all of the colored paper came from the My Mind’s Eye “Simply Delightful” paper stack. I’ve had success using the Faux leather on the really thin ones that are basically just fabric. But honestly, I use shimmered leather for most of the Hobby Lobby faux leather ribbons, even when I know it is too much pressure.
If you need to do another pass, consider changing the pressure on the second cut. Most times, my second pass does the job without even changing the pressure on my Maker. With thicknesses varying, it means that you need to figure out a setting for each one. This sometimes takes a few passes to figure out.
