It’s difficult to modify your GPA in time for college applications if you’re currently a junior or senior. You’ll need a better SAT or ACT score to compensate if your GPA is at or below the school’s average of 3.46. This will enable you to effectively compete against applicants with higher GPAs. The institute permits students to take admission on the account of an F-1 or J-1 visa to study in the USA. It’s mandatory for International students to submit the official record of the prescribed English Proficiency tests like TOEFL or IELTS stipulated by Hunter College. In 1913 the east end of the building, housing the elementary school, was replaced by Thomas Hunter Hall, a new limestone Tudor building facing Lexington Avenue and designed by C. Hunter needs to see past your test scores and grades – they need to know that you will be a valuable and contributing member of their community. You are more than grades and test scores – your experiences should demonstrate that.
To consider CUNY Hunter College a “target” school you should aim for a score of 1260. Often times, schools in this range are trying to increase their selectivity and “prestige”. We can’t read the minds of Hunter application readers, but they likely want to increase the average GPA from 3.43 to 3.6 this year – to play it safe, we recommend striving for the 3.6 GPA. If you’re competitive for Hunter College, these schools will offer you a similar chance of admission. There are so many applicants scoring 24 and above that a 21 will look academically weak.
You may apply for a waiver but you will be eligible only if you are already a CUNY student or high school student or are a Veteran/ spouses of veteran (U.S). For transfers, make sure your GPA is at or above a 3.0, just to be on the safe side.
In case of graduate application, the deadline varies from course to course. The MFA Studio Art program was formerly run out of a building on West 41st Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. It was a 12,000-square-foot industrial space that students converted to studio space for the college’s BFA and MFA program. The current building in Tribeca now houses the Studio Art and Integrated Media Arts MFA program, and Art History MA program. Roosevelt House, located on East 65th Street, is the historic family home of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.
The acceptance rate at the college is about 36%, which marks a high level of competition in order to reserve a seat at the institute. However, candidates can expect a fairly good chance to seek admission at the institute if they submit the application timely through CUNY application or Common Application. The deadline for undergraduate applicants for fall semester is February 1 and spring semester is September 15.
