You are telling the OP to follow a style intended to benefit from combat talents. You can change your argument if you want, but your initial statement was how much value are you getting out of 15-30s of slice and dice… the answer is the same in a raid or otherwise. And yes rupture can miss and consume your energy. Depending on how much the rogue’s abilities and buffs and the boss debuffs deviate from the given guidelines, the rogue’s DPS can slip quite a bit relative to what it “should” be. They put nasty dots on you, have a ton of armor, burrow underground and do just about everything that rogues hate. If you decide to go this route, load up on the attack power. A lot of gear that you will get from quests will give you a ton, so that will help if you didn¡¯t come in with good gear.

Despite the advantages provided by Stealth mechanic and great CC capabilities, Rogues struggle a bit during leveling. This is caused by the inability to mitigate incoming Damage efficiently, the lack of Healing abilities, and low overall mobility. I level sub, but I also gold dump and fully twink my toons so I’m basically untouchable, while out questing, if I get jumped by opposing faction, I can always turn the table easily.
