Even after confiding in her colleagues at work, Addison can’t get Pete out of her head. Naomi & Sam’s daughter seeks help with Addison, while Cooper fears Violet is setting herself up again after her ex visits the clinic and the clinic’s new mid-wife attempts to conduct his first exam. The episode consists entirely of clips from the first three seasons of Grey’s Anatomy.
When Archer suffers a severe seizure, his sister, Addison and his girlfriend, Naomi, aggressively search for the cause and cure, even calling Addison’s ex-husband, Derek, for counsel. Meanwhile, Violet tells Sheldon and Pete that she is pregnant, and a seven year-old patient is abandoned, left for Cooper to care for. Cooper returns vanguard retirement calculators to the online dating game with surprising results, Addison goes out on a date with one of Violet’s patients, Naomi and Sam make a house call at a convent, Dell gives a tour of Oceanside Wellness to his midwifery classmates, and Addison and Pete participate in a “Safe Surrender” program, coming to the aid of a teenaged new mother.
The other members of the Oceanside Wellness Group have their own share of personal issues as well. Peter Finch, an alternative medicine doctor, is dealing with the pain of losing his wife through a series of one-night stands. Cooper Freedman, a pediatrician, relies on the Internet to hook up with women, but after having his car stolen by one of his hookups, he’s slowly finding that the Internet may not be the best means to meeting the woman of his dreams. Violet Turner, the resident therapist, doubts that she’s doing any good for any of her patients and wonders if she’s even able to help herself.
A new woman brings Sheldon joy, but the case of a girl missing from the hospital continues to weigh on him, and he begins to think that one of his patients is connected to the disappearance. Dell enlists Sam’s help in an effort to discover the reasons behind the bruising on his grandfather’s body. Past patients drop in on Oceanside, including a couple having trouble with conception and a police officer in need of a physical. As Naomi begins throwing herself back into the dating pool, Addison finds herself being thrown into a mental wall when it comes to her personal desire to settle back down, while patients include a young adult who shows signs of abuse, a doctor from the local hospital who can’t fall asleep, and a woman who can’t seem to get the truth right. A spin-off of the medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” centering on the life of neonatal surgeon Addison Montgomery.
Pete, the baby’s father, finds Violet bleeding out on the floor of her house. But the episode’s funeral scenes turn out to be unrelated flashbacks — Violet survives, as does her baby, Lucas. The show ended its fifth season with Jake proposing to Addison and Amelia welcoming “unicorn baby” Christoper, who died shortly after birth.
The Oceanside Wellness Center takes on the fertility of one of their previous couples and starts a “Dads-to-be” class, much to Charlotte’s displeasure; Sam and Naomi struggle to figure out where their relationship is going; Addison is conflicted about her status in the dating world, and Cooper begins a secret affair with one of his colleagues. While Sam finds himself in the midst of a dangerous house call, love — or at least sex — is in the air at Oceanside Wellness Center, as Pete and Addison decide to take their relationship to the next level, and Violet enters a “friends with benefits” pact with Cooper. Cooper and Charlotte have a terrible fight, unintentionally endangering their unborn triplets. Elsewhere, Violet provides comfort to a friend who must decide whether to remove her partner from life support. Meanwhile, Addison and Jake don’t see eye to eye regarding one of his patients; Stephanie inquires about Sam’s history with Addison; and a new doctor begins work at Saint Ambrose. Meanwhile, Sheldon works with a suicidal patient who makes a startling revelation.
Her first patient is a 17 year-old-mother who didn’t inform her father she was even pregnant until she went into labor, while a colleague of hers deals with a patient who refuses to quit counting the tiles in a department store. Meanwhile, her best friend, Naomi, deals with a deceased patient’s remains and who gets control of him. Addison treats two pregnant women who unknowingly share the same husband, a visit from an Alzheimer’s patient and her loving husband forces Sam and Naomi to look at their own relationship, Violet confronts Charlotte about her relationship with Cooper, and Dell reveals a very special woman in his life to his surprised co-workers. Addison invites her fellow colleagues to a party at her new home but no-one RSVP’s except Dell. Cooper befriends a lovesick patient and Violet discovers that Naomi’s seeing her ex-boyfriend Alan’s new wife Cami as a patient.
