The Juilliard School offers students the option to double major, if they would like. Student struggling to choose just one area of study may consider a double major. When choosing a major, The Juilliard School students have several choices to make.

Students who successfully complete the program earn a master’s degree from The Juilliard School in New York and the Tianjin Conservatory of Music. Tianjin Juilliard’s Public Education division is the bridge connecting the world-class musical education of The Juilliard School to the public in China through a variety of programs. Private instrumental lessons, online music courses, chorus, master classes, and seasonal camps are offered to music learners of all ages. The total enrollment at The Juilliard School, both undergraduate and graduate, is 961 students. The full-time enrollment at The Juilliard School is 842 and the part-time enrollment is 119.

This private study is supplemented by frequent coaching and opportunities to work with visiting faculty and guest artists. Students at The Tianjin Juilliard School have numerous opportunities to perform, both on campus, and with partner organizations throughout China and beyond. Students perform in orchestra, small and large-scale mixed ensembles, chamber music groups, side-by-side with resident faculty, and in project-based residencies with visiting faculty and guest artists. Although faculty and visiting artists will travel between the New York and Tianjin campuses, there will not be any formal student exchange programs at this time. However, there are project-based performance exchanges between the two campuses. The department of education defines graduation rate as the percentage of full-time, first-time students who received a degree or award within 150% of “normal time” to completion.

With voice, because that is a later maturing instrument we adjust our expectations accordingly. There is a Music Development Program offering one-on-one instrumental lessons for students of an advanced beginner or intermediate level and a local youth chorus program. We also offer the Music Essentials Curriculum, an early childhood music development course and the Music Discovery, a music enrichment program for 6–12-year-olds.

Similar to the Pre-College at the New York campus, the Pre-College at The Tianjin Juilliard School offers a comprehensive, conservatory-style Saturday music program for advanced pre-college students.
